I was born into a quirky Japanese family where weekly trips
to the local swap meet, my Dad's crafty way of turning trash
into treasure, Mom's unconditional support, and little sister's bizarre stories all served for a
magical childhood.
I graduated from the Fashion Institute in Los Angeles, and honed my skills at Paul Frank Industries,
where I designed women's accessories for 6 1/2
charming years.
In 2007, I was honored to be featured as a finalist in fred flare's, "next big thing" contest!
For the past 2 years, I have been freelance designing and professionally crafting and loving every minute of it!
illustrator, animals, friends, theater, this american life, my family, movies, painting, sewing, politics, flea markets, fairytales, playing piano and guitar, screen writing, my wonderpup - mack the shiba inu, ethical labor, books & music, food (especially japanese and vietnamese), best friend, and lovers, karaoking, jon stewart and conan o'brien, doing impersonations, and lots of smiles!
