Happy December and Thank you for Voting!

First off, Happy December!  I can't believe the end of 2009 is here already - cliche, but where does time go? 

I don't get it.

Secondly, I was informed yesterday that Stewart placed second in the Etsy Ornament Contest!

A BIG thank you to each and every one of you who voted - it really means a lot to me!  :)  The Gift Guide inclusion brought in an influx of orders that I am trying very hard to work on at the moment.  I even hired my favorite cousin to help me out for a bit today!  She'll be a huge help, and it doesn't hurt that she's one of my most favorite people in the world. :)

I realized that I didn't do a November giveaway, nor the Bag to Basics: Limited Edition bag that I had promised last month. I deeply apologize for that - I am just so overwhelmed with orders that I don't have enough time to work on anything else!  I do have the parts and pieces for the bag that I'd like to design next, so hopefully that will be in the works very soon. :)

Happy Indigenous People's Day!

Did you have a good holiday week?

I had a splendid one, and spent some much needed r&r time with friends and family.  I was also able to volunteer some time with a wonderful organization called OPCC in Santa Monica - big shout out to Craig who does an AMAZING job there!

I am insanely busy with holiday orders, but just had to post a new plushie I finished over the weekend:

Sadie the Owl Ornament Cards

Hello Hello, and Happy Friday!

I'm sorry it's been a while, I've been swamped in Holiday orders!  I've been a little crazed but feel very grateful for all of the support. 

Last night I finished up a batch of Sadie the Owl Applique Ornament Cards.  These cards are great because you can write your holiday greetings on the back, and your loved ones can hang them on the tree to enjoy instead of putting them in a stack somewhere and forgetting about them.

 

All of her paper pieces are appliqued, and she features real cotton rick-rack on her pouch.  

She features a beautiful shimmer olive green ribbon for hanging on the tree!

Sadie also comes with a matching square envelope.

Write a little message, put a stamp on it, and enjoy Sadie's cuteness on a tree!

Stewart the Owl Tree Stockings are Back!

Happy November!

It's chillier and fall-ier here finally, and I'm in the mood for hot chocolate and warm coziness!

I've just finished some Stewart the Owl in a Tree Holiday stockings in time to hang in front of the chimney!

The stockings are tree shaped and feature Stewart perched in the middle of the trunk.  He's thinking about all of the fun holiday festivities ahead!

I just got back from a Hello Kitty Birthday party in L.A. and it was super fun!

Bag to Basics: Limited One of a Kind Series

Happy Friday!

I've been wanting to design some One of Kind bags for a while now, but couldn't seem to find the time to fit any in!  I designed accessories at Paul Frank Industries for 6.5 years, and my favorite bags were the ones I could really get creative with;  those of which cost and merchandising plans had no meaning.

 I am going to be featuring these One of a Kind bags once a month or so, and I'm really excited to get bag (get it, get it?) to basics.  These will be really well made with extra care and love going into each piece.

The first is an Olive Wood Grain shoulder bag featuring a combination of duck canvas and a really cool cotton wood grain print.

 

I love love the vintage looking faux wood and antiqued finish brass:

Stewart and Sadie with their (broken) Hearts

I have 2 new little Mini Brown Stewart and Sadie Plushies!
